So, if you’re a collector or potentially thinking of becoming one, you should know how to spot a fake Squishmallow from the real deal.
Look for the original tags
Squishmallows come with 3 tags that should read:
- “Original Squishmallows: Squeeze and Cuddle Me”
- “Kelly Toys”
- The Squishmallow’s ID and batch number
If your “brand-new” Squishmallow is missing at least 1 of these, it’s a fake!
Texture
An authentic Squishmallow feels like a mix between a memory-foam pillow and a marshmallow. Knock-offs have a tough time replicating this texture, with most of them feeling flat or not springing back to their original shape.
